'We've Only Just Begun'

Now Playing

1/4/99

Happy New Year Folk's..  I want to thank you all for being patient with me through the holiday season, while I tried to put my life together.

I will not be able to devote the time as I did in the past to the web site since I have to work part time to supplement my income until social security kicks in.  The reason for this as some of you already know I have recently seperated from my husband. It was a difficult decision, but it seems to be working out for the best for both of us.

The Prayer Room and the Card Shops will remain as they currently exist. Weekly updates will be made on Monday to the Guideposts and Chicken Soup for the Soul. The only card shops that will change from time to time will be the warm fuzzy cards as people send in pictures of their pets. Secrets of Joy will resume and hopefully be distributed on a daily basis.

Hopefully more people will become members/or donate to help defray the extra cost of maintaining this web site, I will be able to pay for the additional web space that hold the card shops through March 25th, 1999.  If no help is received by then I will have to discontinue this Web site.

As we welcome in another new year in a few days, I would like to take this oppurtunity to say 'THANK YOU' to all of you wonderful 'LIL FOLKS" who have sent me so many greeting cards, notes via e-mail and donations and membership requests to my P.O. Box.

If you haven't read about what will be happening to the BeachMarks Card Shop in the New Year, Click on Sunny, my little ray of Florida Sunshine

On December 30, 1997 I will be archiving  all the notes and prayers that were left for 1997 and put them in a zipped file if you would like a copy juste-mail me for the prayer.zip or happy.zipWe have  to do this in order to make room for all new prayers and letters in the new year.. They will also be archived on a monthly basis. I am doing this to make it faster for all of you to have the pages download more quickly.

If you find broken links in the next few weeks, let me know as I revamp this web site and upload pages to check their operation, I may unknowingly unlink somethig that is free. Thank You.. Beach...

I received 2 new Chicken Soup Books for Christmas so look for all new stories next year. We will be adding Chicken Soup for the Mother's Soul and Chicken Soup for the Women's Soul..

I also would like to take this time to wish you all A Happy New Year,. Please do not drink & drive as I would like to see you all alive next year.

November 9th 1997

Wow!! Where has the time gone, here we are once again approaching still yet another Holiday Season..  We have had a very busy year as some of you who stay in touch with me know.

After Adrienne's graduation from Flagler College in April, with a degree in elementary and deaf education, she and Douglas accepted jobs and moved to Naples FL  Our son Eric & wife Angela welcomed a new baby girl Miranda into their household in September .

We then had 2 weddings, our son Norman married resulting in the addition of  one new daughter-in-law Kim, & 2 new grand sons, Casey and Corey ages 3 & 4.

The other wedding of our daughter Renee resulted in a new son-in-law Ron.  Looks like Christmas just got a little more expensive.....

*** We made our move this past week to a larger server to accommodate the ever ballooning mass of mail that we generate and nearly crashed the old server.   Hopefully the eagle will find his way with some donations to help defray this added expense..

BeachMarks Card Shop's mail box at: P.O.Box 7615 St Petersburg FL 33734

I spent all day Saturday and Sunday rearranging the face of the card shop and table of contents and adding the new web address to all the pages, if you find a bad link be sure to let me know.  I have so many pages out here I may have lost one. LOL I hope you like the new look and find it easier to surf along this site..

I will be busy the next few weeks adding 'Holiday Greeting Cards' for the up coming season to help celebrate Thanksgiving, Hannaka, Christmas and Kabanza.. Start looking for new Greeting cards on or about November 15th, We will include what we had last year and add to that collection.. I hope you all have a safe holiday shopping season

'THE LAST TIDBIT POSTED TODAY'<:-(((((((

April 14th 1997 Update

At long last, my dream come true.  Thanks to a very dear young lady in Canada, 'BeachMarks Card Shop' has at last become an auto -generated web site.  She worked many long hard hours giving up her weekend for me to write a program FREE of charge to help in my efforts to raise money for charity..

Her name is 'Lainer', I met her in the Gamezone some time ago.  She is very busy with her own 'Game Plans' and I just don't know how to thank her enough for what she did for me and for all of you who enjoy sending your greeting cards.

This will give me time to pursue the new business my friend Linda Jackson and I have started.  Check out the "Wall Hangings'.

I personally will donate 25% , after expenses of all monies I receive from the wall hangings to charity

August 1996 Hi my name is BEACH. I am married to a very nice man whose name is Augie. We live in St. Petersburg, FL, and have six children between us and a total of seven Grandchildren. Two of the Grandchildren have presented us with Great Grandchildren - one boy and one girl (/s ohno - I am too young for this.) I have been writing a daily Tidbit Sheet since September 1995. It started out as a way to answer a whole lot of letters I found in my mailbox one day, and not having enough time to answer every one personally, I sent a lot of one-liners with the message I wanted to say to each one.

From this I created "BEACH'S TIDBIT SHEET". I have enlisted the aid of many of the members of our group (I will described this group below) and they contribute to this page, sometimes on a daily basis, others on a weekly basis. We all hope you will make this a "FAVORITE" daily stopping point when surfing the Internet. You will find much laughter here, as this also has become my daily journal. I have a rather large family (as you read above), and there are always interesting things happening here in my little corner of the world.

The folks who have been receiving this daily sheet are all friends I have met in a room on Prodigy, beginning in May 1995. Since then I have met several of them face to face on their visits to Florida. I even drove to Mobile Alabama to meet one of the girls. There are approximately 40 members, well-meaning folks who have formed a closeness that comes from many happy and sad times this past year. It was called Computing-Chatterboxers.

We all are avid wavers, meaning we collect and exchange files of sounds. This is how they are played "/s hello", and I incorporate these into my tidbit sheet (just like the /s ohno up above.) We have moved our meeting room to:

irc.another.net  #chatterboxer  channel

If you find yourself lonely any time drop in and say hi and wav with the rest of us. This is a very clean "Family" oriented area - why even our children and grandchildren play here.

The chatterboxers  have grown so much in their knowledge of the internet since we left Prodigy and many have homepage's of their own. You can visit their homepage's from the Chatterboxers Page.

I have expanded my horizons since first writing this page about my self, and as you surf through my pages you will see I now play in the Gamezone Spades parlors  where I have met many more friends, you can visit their homepage's from the Gamezone Page.

I continue to wav and spade anytime of day or night,  when I have time off from "BeachMarks Card Shop" that I added in September. This really keeps me busy, /s whew. Keep them orders and donations coming in.

January 10 1997

Good Morning, Good Afternoon, Good Evening, to friends, family and all other's who pass by and happen into my life.

Another Year has arrived and I for one am happy to see the holidays come to a close. It is a lovely season, but it seems to put the rest of the world on hold, I haven't even read a newspaper lately, let alone tackle a book.

With the start of the new year the Daily Tidbits are going to become known as " Beach's Weekly Tidbits " As some of you know I am having major problems with my arms being numb and in pain all the time, so I need to cut down on my computer use somewhere.

I received a new desk calendar for Christmas From my Daughter "A". It is called "Chicken Soup for the Soul." I would like to share this with you in the weeks ahead.

I thank all of you who have contributed to the making of the Daily Tids and hope you will continue to submit articles for Weekly Publication.

BEACH ~ ~ ~ AT YA'LL ! :-) BTW (by the way), ~ ~ ~ means waving at you!!!
